The façade consists of a stone-clad base and a single glazed opening facing the street. A lightweight, semi-transparent fabric curtain mediates the connection between the restaurant and the public realm, allowing natural light to enter while preserving the dining room’s privacy.

Marked by a wood-clad volume, the main entrance leads to a corridor that organizes circulation and connects the waiting area and bar to the main dining room. These spaces unfold in a continuous sequence, sharing the same material language and marking the transition from the street to the dining area.

The main dining room, with seating for 100 guests, is complemented by a private dining room accommodating 16 people. The space is defined by trapezoidal timber ceiling modules with artificial lighting integrated into their design. In plan, the arrangement of the walls and ceiling modules partially divides the dining room into four smaller areas while preserving spatial and visual continuity. A garden runs along the entire side of the main and private dining rooms, separated by a continuous glass wall that allows natural light to enter and keeps the vegetation visible from every table.

Founded in 1958, Rodeio is moving to a new address for the first time since it opened. The project seeks to preserve distinctive aspects of the restaurant’s identity, reinterpreting them through a new spatial configuration and contemporary architectural language. The yellow walls, which divide the dining room into smaller areas, and the trapezoidal timber ceiling modules embody this strategy, establishing continuity between the original restaurant and its new home.
